Tour Castle Horn, Roermond and Maasplassen

Your route starts at Boscafé de Busjop. First you drive into the nature reserve Het Leudal. Don't fall off your bike when you see Kasteel Horn: it is one of the oldest, still intact ring wall fortresses in the Netherlands! You can see even more history in Roermond. Here you cross the Roer via the beautiful Stenen Brug from 1771. This brings you to a beautiful authentic area between Roer and Maas, which was later called'St. Jacob Suburb\\\'. You will see Het Witte Kerkje, a chapel from the 15th century. Then you cross the Maas with a ferry, fun! The Maasplassen together form the largest continuous water sports area in the Netherlands. You cross the parallel canal via a weir. You cycle back via the Beegder Heide.
