Tour of Vierhouten and Hidden Village

Your route starts at Bakery Schreuder. Nunspeet is located on the edge of the rolling and wooded Veluwe. Before you drive onto the Veluwe, loosen your legs in the varied landscape around Nunspeet: a picturesque mix of meadows, hedgerows and old farms. Pedaling through the forests, past heathlands, fens and moraines you will discover the great nature of the Veluwe. You might come across a deer or red deer along the way! In the woods near Vierhouten you cycle past listening point L59: The hidden village. Here you will hear the dramatic story about the Hidden Village: a secret village in hiding that was founded in the woods in the spring of 1943. Three huts have been recreated, and some remains of the original huts can still be found.
