Tour of Schenkenshul near Hoenderloo

Your route starts at De Rimboe & de Woeste Hoogte Hoenderloo. Just outside Hoenderloo is a beautiful piece of heathland, Schenkenshul. You can walk straight into the nature reserve from the holiday park! Even if you do not spend the night in the park, you are welcome to drink a cup of coffee here before putting on your walking shoes. August is a wonderful time for this route, because of the flowering heather, but this area is also worth a visit at other times of the year. You will find many unpaved paths and you can enjoy beautiful views because of the rolling landscape. You walk through a mix of deciduous and coniferous trees to an open piece of heathland, which you walk over. A wonderful route to take in an hour!
