Description
The West Coast Cycle Route is offered by VisitWestVlaanderen on their website. This route introduces you to the great diversity that the West Coast has to offer.
As a starting point we choose the ample free parking at the Nieuwpoort marina. We first cycle past the iron and some monuments of the First World War. Then via the canal to Veurne. Then to Adinkerke and through the forest to De Panne. Then on the dike towards Koksijde to return to Nieuwpoort via old inland dunes. There are many sights along the way. At the end in Nieuwpoort Bad you can also choose to take the ferry back to the parking lot. Then at junction 64 take junction 73 followed by 61 and you will return past the parking lot.
