Picturesque Lochem
At Brasserie Restaurant Kawop you can enjoy a cozy terrace. Enjoy a coffee and meal before driving into Lochem. In the old city center you will find a wonderful historic atmosphere thanks to the many monumental buildings. Here you can admire the St. Gudula Church, which dates back to the Middle Ages. Then you cycle through the forests of the Grote Vel. Take a deep breath and enjoy the fresh air.
Barchem
It is then wonderful to cycle on car-free roads through the De Graafschap National Landscape. In this small-scale cultural landscape you drive past fields, meadows and stream valleys. You see hedgerows, hedges and Saxon farms. It seems as if this region has been specially designed for cyclists. In Barchem you see the Netherlands Reformed Church from 1861, just outside the village you drive through the woods. You drive back to Lochem via the village of Zwiep.
