Tour of Garderen, Nijkerk and Putten

From Garderen you are the first to drive through the Boeschoter Bos. Here you pass an authentic sheepfold that offers shelter to a herd of Veluwe Heide sheep. Via Voorthuizen you drive to the Appelsche Heide, a nature reserve that gradually changes into a lovely bocage landscape. In Nijkerk you will pass through the picturesque old center, where you will see some beautiful monumental buildings. You then drive through the Arkemheenpolder, which was already constructed in the fourteenth century. It is one of the oldest polders in the Netherlands. From the path on top of the Zeedijk you have a beautiful view over the rippling water of the Nijkerker and Nuldernauw, after which you cycle via Landgoed De Vanenburg to Putten. You drive through the Speulder and Sprielderbos to Garderen. The route ends with a traditional pastry or sweet treat from Bakkerij Schreuder.
