Cycling route through the Speulder and Sprielderbos

Whichever direction you go: from Garderen you can cycle straight into the forests of the Veluwe. This route first takes you to the Boeschoterbos. What immediately stands out here: the tranquility. Ideal for a day of relaxation. Just before junction 57 you pass the Boeschoten Sheepfold , which provides shelter for a flock of Veluwe Heath sheep. Further on, drive through the Speulder and Sprielderbos, one of the oldest and most beautiful nature reserves on the Veluwe. It is known as the 'forest of dancing trees' because only the straight trunks have been cut down. On the edge of the Ermelose Heide you have a beautiful view of the surroundings. In the landscape you can still see the contours of the only Roman marching camp that the Netherlands has known. The route ends at Bakery Schreuder.
