From Eetcafé het Puntje you cycle to the Dordrecht harbour. You cross the water to Papendrecht, after which you drive a bit through Alblasserdam. Further on you will pass the famous Kinderdijkse Molens. This unique Dutch heritage of eighteenth-century windmills is on the World Heritage List. The cycle path leads you further through the Alblasserwaard. This peat meadow area consists mainly of meadows that are crossed by numerous ditches. It is wonderfully quiet cycling here. On the water you cycle through villages such as Molenaarsgraaf, Gijpeland and Bleskensgraaf. You can see beautiful old farms, windmills and churches here. At junction 40 you pass through the Alblasserbos, a rarity in this vast region. You cross the Beneden-Merwede via the Baanhoek Bridge, which was completed in 1885, after which you cycle back to the First Marina along the Wantij.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
