Description

Low Holland consists mostly of peat meadow soil. If the groundwater level is too low, this peat soil subsides, releasing various gases such as CO2. Nature management organisations, governments and local farmers are working together to find a solution to this growing problem. We look at traditional and alternative methods. Curious how Lisdodde can contribute to this problem? Then read the story of the Burkmeerpolder while walking. View the route, nodes, description and practical information here .
