Walking route Dwingelderveld and the Davidsplassen

On the road through the Dwingelderveld! Discover the beautiful Davidsplassen and enjoy the butterflies fluttering around. From the parking lot you first walk to The Teaspoon for a cup of coffee or tea with homemade apple pie or cake of the day. Dwingelderveld National Park is unique in size and special in terms of flora and fauna. In the forest you see a mixture of deciduous and coniferous trees. You can easily shake off the daily routine here. A lovely walk to relax. When you walk out of the forest, you look out over the Dwingelderveld and you see the Davidsplassen. Grab a bench here and enjoy the butterflies fluttering around. The Dwingelderveld is the last place in the Netherlands where the very rare peat butterflies still occur.
