The Brabant Sahara, that is what the Loonse and Drunense Dunes are also called. This route takes you through this national park, but also introduces you to the rural and natural surroundings of the villages of Haaren, Vught and Cromvoirt. The Loonse and Drunense Dunes form the largest area with living drifting sand in Europe. So feel free to get off your bike to take a good look at this unique sea of sand. When you enter Giersbergen, you will automatically get off your bike to enjoy the unique atmosphere and old long-façade farms. A little further on you will pass Nemerlaer Castle, which was built in the thirteenth century.
