Cycling route through the Maashorst

From Uden you can easily drive into the Maashorst. The Maas once flowed here, now you cycle through a vast landscape consisting of a series of forests and old agricultural lands. First you cycle through Udenoord, a forest where you mainly ride between fragrant conifers. You then pass the edge of the Slabroekse Heide, after which you can stop for a visit to the Slabroek Nature Center. From junction 44 you drive through the Schaijkse Heide. Cycling through the woods you can fully enjoy the peace and fresh air. In August you look out over a purple sea of blooming heather. On the east side of the Maashorst you take a trip to the hamlet of Zevenhuis, and cycle through the forest back to Hotel Brasserie Verhoeven.
