Tour of Groot Schietveld and Wuustwezel

Your route starts at Brasserie De Kar, on the edge of the Kalmthoutse Heide. You first drive to Wuustwezel to take a look at De Spiegel Castle. The old castle, which was completely surrounded by water, has been replaced by a villa. But it remains a beautiful spot. The Great Shooting Field was created as a result of the evolution of artillery. Initially, the Klein Schietveld was established as an army camp in 1820. In 1956 it was expanded by another 100 hectares. The guns could now shoot much further, which is why there was a need for a larger shooting range. It has a length of 10 kilometers.
