Arnhem city walk

1. Start at the Stations Huiskamer in the station hall and walk towards the center. Keep slightly to the right outside, dir. church tower. (Look back at the traffic lights for a nice view of the new station building). Cross the roundabout at the Spar and turn left before the Greek restaurant. 1st right Korenstraat, ends at the Korenmarkt. Rd into Luthersestraat, straight through the entertainment area, becomes Tullekenssteeg. End right, Rijnstraat. House number 71 is the St Petergasthuis. Just before the end of la Oude Oeverstraat, turn left past historic cellars. You will see the Rozet on your right, at the end of Oude Oeverstraat la Kortestraat. End ra Rijnstraat.
2. Crossing rd, Rijnstraat becomes Vijzelstraat, ignore next side street (right) and after 25 m between house no. 14 and 51 ra into the alley, Wielakkerstraat. End ra (Eiland) and further rd, becomes Kerkstraat. Almost at the end, house no. 19 is the oldest house in Arnhem, the Presikhaefshuys. Walk left around the church (watch out for a piece of Sint Jansbeek that has been lifted above ground) between the Duivelshuis (left hand) and the church. Cross the road to the Markt, on the right corner is the former Waag. Cross the market on the right. At the end of the Markt, cross under Sabelspoort and la, Rijnkade, direction John Frostbrug.
3. After 100 m, past Airborne at the Bridge, keep left (Kadestraat), take the footpath through Jacob Groenewoudplantsoen. Cross diagonally straight ahead and follow the traffic road. In front of the bridge la Eusebiusbinnensingel. At the end, turn left and follow the bend to the right (Beekstraat). Go rd and walk at the level of the police station rd along the newly raised Sint Jansbeek. Always rd pedestrian area (Beekstraat). At the intersection between house no. 26 and 25 ra Nieuwstad. Cross Rd, double cycle path and double (!) bus lane. Behind the new Musis (concert hall), and left around Musis Sacrum, cross the bus lane again and enter the rd shopping area again.
4. Enter the Musiskwartier, a street between the department store (TK Maxx) and the supermarket, Dwingelstraat. On the square (Brouwersplein) right, continue to the end, right into Beekstraat, rd into Bovenbeekstraat. Take the second street on the right at the five-way junction (Land van de Markt), into Bovenbeekstraat. After 50 m you will see the Burgerweeshuis on your left. First street la, Ruiterstraat. Increasingly rd, becomes Jansplein, later Jansplaats. End of yard, Jansstraat. Rd zebra double (!) Cross the cycle path and bus lane (Willemsplein) and cross the road further on. Rd past the cinema (Oude Stationsstraat), over the new pedestrian boulevard back to the station.
