Description
This route starts at EuroParcs De Koog. Your bike ride today takes you along the edges of Texel. You also drive through National Park Duinen van Texel. You will find plenty of variety here between dunes and forest. De Waal has a special history: the village was by the sea until 1613... After the Waalenburg polder was drained, it was located in the middle of Texel. You cycle into the forest via the nice Den Burg. Take a break at Bospaviljoen't Turfveld, in the middle of De Dennen, the Texel dune forest. Continue through the dunes to De Koog and LOMT Aviation & War Museum Texel. Then you cycle back through Oosterend. Be sure to get off here to enjoy the historic atmosphere!
