Description
Today's bike ride takes you along the edges of Texel. You will also cycle through the National Park Dunes of Texel. Here you will find plenty of variation between dunes and forests. De Waal has a special history: the village was located by the sea until 1613... After the Waalenburg polder was drained, it found itself in the middle of Texel. Via the pleasant Den Burg you cycle into the forest. Take a break at Bospaviljoen't Turfveld, in the middle of De Dennen, the Texel dune forest. Through the dunes you cycle on to De Koog and LOMT Aviation & War Museum Texel. Then you cycle back through Oosterend. Be sure to get off here to enjoy the historical atmosphere!
