Vechtdal walk Junner Koeland

Your route starts at Camping De Kleine Wolf. Have a cup of coffee at Brasserie De Wolventuin and then put on your walking shoes. This route takes you to the Vechtdal east of Ommen. This beautiful river valley consists of various nature reserves through which the Vecht meanders. In the low polder you mainly see grasslands, while on the ash there are still fields here and there. Have a picnic at the closed meander of the Overijsselse Vecht. This stream encloses the Junner Koeland like an elongated horseshoe, a vast area where about dozens of cows live. Icelandic horses can also regularly be found helping with grazing. On the way back you will discover the forests east of your starting point. A nice varied route!
