Provided by: Groots Genieten
The first kilometers you drive along the banks of the Oosterschelde National Park. Here you have a beautiful view over the rippling water. From junction 90 you drive through the Prunjepolder, a vast and bird-rich nature reserve. Further on you will pass through the Schelphoek. This creek area emerged from one of the largest dike breaches during the 1953 flood disaster. The Plompetoren is a former church tower from 1468. From the top you have a unique panorama. In Burgh-Haamstede you cycle along a partly reconstructed old ring wall. You drive through the Vroongronden nature reserve to Renesse. You cycle through the polders on quiet paths to Kerkwerve, where the beautiful village church is located on the characteristic Ring Road.
