Description
This is one of the variants of the famous ferry route'de 8 van Grou\\\'. It is also called the South Loop.
The route starts in the water sports village of Grou. Located at De Alde Feanen National Park.
Via Jirnsum you cycle to the 1st ferry. You make the crossing with the ferry Fietsa Versa. This takes about 10 minutes and then you are in Terherne. This village is an island in the Sneekermeer and is known as Kameleondorp.
You continue the road through the villages of Terkaple and Akmarijp. In this last village you cycle past a beautiful Bell Chair. A typical Frisian building.
You cycle north again where you make the crossing with the 2nd ferry: Nye Skou. Here you also have the opportunity to take a rest in the tea garden.
You then cycle through Akkrum back to Grou.
