Description
Your route starts at De Pannekoekenmolen. A bike ride through the hilly landscape of South Limburg is tough, but very beautiful. On the tops of the hills you can enjoy the most beautiful views over the rolling landscape with an authentic village here and there. Then you will soon forget those tough climbs. From Kasteel Wijlre you cycle to Kasteel Wittem, in the village of the same name. Wittem is a corruption of Witheim, which means something like 'house by the oak'. In Nijswiller and Holset you cycle past vineyards. Volmolen Frankenhof in Holset is a picture. Near Vaals you will find castle Vaelsbroek, a white mansion from 1761. Via Sippenaeken and the Beusdaelbos you cycle back to your starting point.
