Description

Your route starts at Camping de Wildhoeve, where you can first have a cup of coffee at the associated Brasserie de Houtvesterij. Then you cycle through Wezep, Oldebroek and 't Harde. Take a break at the Boerderijmuseum De Bovenstreek, where you will get a good impression of farm life in the past. The farm was built in 1753 and was inhabited by a family for a long time. The interior of the farm still looks the same today as it did then. At the height of the villages Hoornerveen and Wapenveld you cycle through the Zwolle forest. From 1892 to 1960, the Veluwe drinking water was pumped through this forest to Zwolle. The kilometres-long trench where the water pipes used to be can still be seen today.
