Walking through authentic Renswoude

Renswoude is a picturesque village in the Gelderse Vallei. It is ideal to explore via a walking route. First, you walk along leafy paths through the valley of the Lunterse Beek and, further on, through the valley of the Munnikenbeek. It is wonderfully quiet here, ideal for unwinding. Next, you enter the estate belonging to Renswoude Castle. The garden is laid out in the English landscape style; you will find lush vegetation and various vistas. The castle has its origins in the fourteenth century. In 1654, this fortified house was demolished and replaced by a country house. Further along, you pass the Koepelkerk from 1641. Along the Dorpsstraat, you see five blocks of eighteenth-century service quarters for the castle staff. You walk back to Restaurant De Dennen along the Lunterse Beek.
