Walking on the estate: Den Alerdinck and Colckhof

This route takes you through the beautiful surroundings of Lierderholthuis, a village near Zwolle. First you walk into the fields. This is literally the case from junction A31, because you just follow the clog path that lies next to a ditch. So make sure you have sturdy shoes. And enjoy the peace and the wide views. A little further on you enter the Den Alerdinck estate. It is wonderful to walk here through the English-style park. The country house originally dates from the seventeenth century. You will also be amazed at the adjacent Colckhof estate. You will see shrubbery and hawthorn hedges here, and you will also pass a nineteenth-century tea house. Just past the A22 junction are several centuries-old beeches. The route ends with a coffee and snack at Grand Café De Wetter.
