Description
The most beautiful route made by Martin van der Valk.
This beautiful route was created through the collaboration of Martin van der Valk with H ans de Bruin from'Gekvanfietsen\\\' in Alphen aan den Rijn and goes towards Boskoop and Reeuwijk. Boskoop is known as the largest tree nursery area in the world. It is a special and green landscape full of nurseries, ditches and drawbridges interspersed with peat meadow polders. There are a number of nice stops, such as the Rosarium in Boskoop (Parklaan 181 between junctions 28 and 5). Here you will find approximately 160 rose varieties as well as perennials, shrubs and trees. You can sit quietly on one of the benches and enjoy the beautiful flowers. The rosarium is open daily and admission is free. The Tree Nursery Museum (past junction 97) is also worth a visit. It is furnished in a grower's house from 1870 and tells the story about the history of tree cultivation in Boskoop.
