Walking route Rechterense Veld

With this walk you will discover the beautiful nature of the Rechterense Veld. Initially you walk through a mix of deciduous and coniferous trees. This was once a vast shifting sand area. You can still see this in the slightly sloping profile of the landscape. About halfway you walk deeper into the forest. It is wonderfully quiet here, ideal to take your mind off things for a while. With a bit of luck you can spot a raven or buzzard. In the middle of the nature reserve you walk across a damp heath. Dragonflies and butterflies such as the heather blue fly here. On the southern edge of the nature reserve you pass an authentic sheepfold. Between the trees you have a beautiful view over the fields. The route ends at Camping Starnbosch.
