Round Wolvega

First you drive over the dike along the meandering Linde. You have a beautiful view over vast grasslands. Up to junction 75, the Linde forms the border between Overijssel and Friesland. You then cycle past Het Wijde, a small lake, after which you follow the course of the Linde again. At junction 79 you can take a trip to the Blessebrugschans. This was part of the Frisian Waterline during the Eighty Years' War. Further on you pass through Wolvega. Here you pass some beautiful old buildings, such as the Church on the Height from 1646. The building stands on a church hill. Via Oldelamer you cycle to the Rottige Meente. In this nature reserve you pass two nineteenth-century polder mills: the Rietvink and Reiger. The route ends with a delicious meal at Paviljoen Driewegsluis.
