Hike Kanis and Teckop

Around Kanis and Teckop it is incredibly quiet walking through the polder. The first loop of this route takes you through Kanis. The name of this hamlet comes from inn'De Gekeerde Kanis\\\', which means the upside-down fish basket. Turn right just before the St. Hippolytus Church, built in 1914. On an unpaved path you walk into the wide peat area. So make sure you have sturdy shoes. You walk north along the Grecht. You cross a Kwakel bridge, along the Kamerikse Wetering you walk to Restaurant't Ryck/Buitenplaats Kameryck. You can eat something here before starting the second loop. This will lead you to Teckop. Along the ditches you will see pollard willows and beautiful old farms. You walk through the polders again, after which the route ends at Landgoed Kameryck.
