Tour highlights of the Sallandse Heuvelrug

This route takes you from Lorkeers Brood banquet - Lunchroom along the highlights of the Sallandse Heuvelrug. At Buitencentrum Sallandse Heuvelrug you can learn more about the national park. Then you cross the heath of the park to Haarle, where you cycle past a beautiful sheepfold. You cross to the Regge and pass the former manor of Egede, of which the eighteenth-century building still remains. Also take a look at the Kokhuusie at Boerderij De Brummel. Kokhuusies are typical of this region. The larger cooking work was done here, but the laundry was also done here on the large pot-bellied stove. At Schuilenburg Estate you experience the past on the renovated castle grounds, beautifully situated in the Regge valley.
