Cycling through the Betuwe

The Betuwe is full of natural beauty. You cycle along quiet roads past vast grasslands and orchards. From Enspijk you cross the Linge to the Heerlijkheid Mariënwaerdt: a private estate where you will find many monumental buildings. Then you cycle along the Regulieren. In this nature reserve you will see flowery grasslands and hayfields, poplar forests and willow groves. Further on you will pass Buren. Feel free to get off your bike to enjoy the historic atmosphere in this beautiful town. In the middle of the Betuwe you will pass De Steendert, a wet nature reserve with wild grasslands, a small lake and reed beds. From the shore of the small lake you will see a nineteenth-century polder mill in the distance. Via the lovely centuries-old Landgoed Neerijnen you cycle back to Boerderijcamping De Hoge Haren.
