Description
Between Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel and Delft you can take a bike ride with lots of natural beauty. For example, you drive through the Schollebos, a park laid out in English landscape style around 1980. You cycle through the Kralingse Bos and the Lage Bergse Bos to the Ackerdijkse Plassen, a vast bird area in the middle of the Green Heart. You enter Delft along the Delftse Schie. You cross the watercourse to take a coffee break at Royal Delft, the last remaining pottery factory from the seventeenth century. Then you drive through the old heart of Delft. Get off to enjoy the historic atmosphere before you drive to the Bieslandse Bos. You drive through the polder to the Rottemeren and Zevenhuizerplas.
