Description
This round travels over the polder of the Ruyghenhil.
Start and end in Willemstad.
When you leave Willemstad you cycle over the outer dike from which you can see the Hollandsch Diep on the left. In the direction of Zwingelspaan you also cycle over the bridge of the Ton (great photo opportunity! )
From Zwingelspaan it goes via the Zwingelspanedijk/Stoofdijk to a beautiful cycle path with trees with to the right of you the EHV (is an ecological connection zone) recently constructed (complete with bench).
From there it is a nice car-free bike ride towards the bridge over the Mark, but you literally ignore it. Then you cycle nicely along the Mark towards Heyningen.
You cycle past Fort Oranje to Helwijk, Fort de Hel, and from there to Willemstad. Great place for and terrace and a city walk.
In short, a varied bike ride with a little too many windmills on the horizon for my taste.
