Schultenwolde walk

Between Almelo and Tubbergen you take a walk through nature. First you walk a bit on the Twentepad. The route takes you on an unpaved path along the Hunzerbeek, so make sure you wear waterproof shoes. It is quiet walking along the reed-covered bank, ideal for a day of relaxation. From junction H34 you walk onto Landgoed Schultenwolde. Here you walk through a small-scale cultural landscape with oaks, beeches, alders and willows. Further to the east you look out over a damp heathland. Further on lies the Hondeven, a so-called pingo ruin that is estimated to be 25,000 years old. Between the meadows and over the leafy Rundervoortsweg you walk to B&B Sagenland/De Huiskamer van Sagenland. At the weekend you are welcome in the tea house.
