Walking through Made and the polder

From IJssalon Maystro Made you first walk a bit through the Kerkstraat. Here you will see some beautiful municipal monuments, such as the Sint-Bernarduskerk from 1870. In the countryside it is wonderfully quiet walking on car-free roads. You walk past meadows, fields and some beautiful thatched farms. Further on the landscape becomes more expansive, you can enjoy a breath of fresh air while you walk along the Breede Vaart to Oud-Drimmelen. This hamlet consists of nine houses, some of which are designated as municipal monuments. After you have crossed the railway again, it is beautiful to walk along the Witteweg and Koekoekweg along the row of deciduous trees. On the horizon you can see the church tower of the May, as Made is called here. At IJssalon Maystro it is time for an ice cream and coffee.
