Tour of Oudemirdum, Jolderenbos and Rijsterbos

Your route starts at Rijsterbosch. From here you can take a nice walk through the wooded Gaasterland, a surprise in Friesland. Former mayor Gaaikema saved the local forests from the axe. In Oudemirdum you will pass the Fountain, a church from 1790. Visitor center Mar en Klif is also worth a visit, here you will learn more about the special landscape. At the edge of the Jolderenbos stands Luchtwachttoren 6H3 from 1953, intended to spot planes flying under the radar. The Mirnser Klif is a nice place to take a dip. You also often see kite flyers and kite surfers. Then you walk back through the Rijsterbos. Back at your starting point, stick around for a while, the pancake house has a beautiful terrace!
