Walking through the Zuiderheide

The Zuiderheide belongs to the Goois Nature Reserve that runs all the way around Hilversum. The area is mainly of archaeological value because there are burial mounds from about four thousand years ago. These burial mounds are called De Zeven Bergjes. You will also find a number of heathland fens in this area. The start and end point of this route is Theehuis't Bluk. Here you can have a cup of coffee or tea, a lunch or something sweet for the sweet tooth among us. In winter you can sit comfortably inside and in summer it is nice to take a seat on the sunny terrace. From the terrace you have a beautiful view over the heath. Near the Laarder Wasmeer you will find the Anna's Hoeve nature reserve.
