Enjoy nature in the Roekel

Put on your sturdy shoes for a varied walk on the Veluwe. First you walk through the Roekelse Bos. This nature reserve is very quiet, so you have a chance of spotting small or larger game here, such as a red deer. Mainly coniferous trees grow there, although you also walk through plots where dark brown, crackling leaves lie on the ground between the beech trees. The route also takes you along the edge of the Mosselse Veld. Here you have a beautiful view of unspoilt grasses and heathland. You walk through the forest to the next plain: the Mosselse Zand. As you walk across this shifting sand area, you will feel like you are in a completely different country. You walk back through the woods to the Oud Beekdal Estate.
