Van Gogh tour of Nuenen and Nuenense Broek

Your route starts at Restaurant De 3 Gebroeders in Gerwen, a village where you can admire the early seventeenth-century Sint-Clemenskerk. Then you walk to Nuenen. Vincent van Gogh made almost a quarter of his total oeuvre here from 1883. His father was a minister in the Van Gogh Church. Drop in at the Vincentre (Berg 29) with its beautiful interactive exhibition. Then you will pass windmill De Roosdonck, next door was the house where the family lived that was immortalized in his first masterpiece, The potato eaters. You also walk through the Nuenens Broek, the artist drew and walked here regularly. Nuenens Broek is at its best in spring, when celandine, wood anemone and cuckoo flower bloom here.
