Description

This route starts at Lunchcafé & Patisserie Beyond in Nuenen. Vincent van Gogh lived and worked in this beautiful village from December 1883 to November 1885. He created almost a quarter of his total oeuvre here. You walk through the Nuenens Broek, the artist drew and walked here regularly. In the spring, the Nuenens Broek is at its most beautiful, when celandine, wood anemone and cuckoo flower bloom here. You also pass the De Roosdonck windmill, next to which was the house where the family lived that was immortalized in his first masterpiece, The Potato Eaters. Stop by the Vincentre (Berg 29), a beautiful interactive exhibition where the stories about Van Gogh are told. Across the street you will find the house where Vincent lived.
