This ninth route starts at Sluis Heel (junction 35)
We drive via Heel to Wessem. This town is located right on the Maas. When you enter the village you go between the terrace chairs. Here you could take a break at the Maas on a beautiful terrace. With a little sightseeing through Wessem you drive to junction 33, where you can choose to turn left to the white village of Thorn. A bit touristy, but worth it. The cobblestones in the village are less pleasant for cycling. Back to junction 33 and drive to 34. Be careful here that you choose the right road. Not along the canal, but via junction 50 to Grathem.
Watermill with the oldest cast iron wheels. Continue to Baexem and cycle through the woods to Horn. Take a nice break at the Abbey (already done twice and bike-friendly). Furthermore, all establishments were closed.
Over the beautiful Beegderheide (including the gun turret of an American tank) to Beegden. And finally we arrive at the lock again.
