Cycling between Maastricht and Heerlen

It is wonderful to cycle through the hills between Heerlen and Maastricht. Here you can fully enjoy the natural beauty and the unprecedentedly beautiful views. There are also many picturesque towns on your route, such as Gulpen. Here you can see the striking thirteenth-century church tower to which St. Peter's Church was once attached. In Wijnandsrade you will pass a castle that originally dates from the sixteenth century. There are plenty of monumental buildings to see in the historic heart of Valkenburg. You pass an old water mill, further on you pass the Geulpoort, rebuilt in 2014. Den Halder Castle and the ruins of Valkenburg Castle are also on your route. Via Margraten and Slenaken you make a shortcut through the Voerstreek. The route ends in the Geulvallei at Bike & Co.
