Tour of South Limburg and Voerstreek

Right from the start, you'll cycle through the Geuldal Valley, one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Netherlands. The Wingbergermolen windmill, dating from 1844, stands on the riverbank. You'll climb slightly to Epen, and further on, you'll cross the border into Belgium, where you'll cycle through the Voer region. Here, too, you'll encounter a beautiful rolling landscape of forests, meadows, and orchards. In Sint-Pieters-Voeren, you'll pass the Commanderie, a castle built in the Maasland Renaissance style. Further on lie Sint-Martens-Voeren and 's-Gravenvoeren, two picturesque villages with charming terraces. Back in the Netherlands, the route takes you through Margraten, among other places. Gulpen is the next gem on your route. Here you'll see the striking 13th-century church tower, which once housed St. Peter's Church.
