From Susteren you first drive to the IJzerenbos, a nature reserve with deciduous trees, grasslands and fields. Further on you make a shortcut through the Selfkant, a German region. You drive through the villages of Millen and Tuddern, but also through the forests along the Roode Beek. Back in the Netherlands you cycle to the center of Sittard. Step off for a moment to enjoy the beautiful old buildings and the historic atmosphere. At Clevers IJssalon Einighausen you can enjoy a traditional ice cream and a coffee, after which you drive to the Hof van Limburg: a small-scale but diverse nature reserve on the edge of Geleen. You can cycle north at your leisure, to Born, Buchten and Holtum. In Susteren you will pass the striking St. Amelberg Basilica, which originally dates from the eleventh century.
