Walk Elsloër and Bunderbos

Put on your sturdy shoes for a wooded and gently sloping walk between Geulle aan de Maas and Elsloo. You walk north along the Juliana Canal to the Elsloërbos. This nature reserve is intersected by streams. Mainly alder and beech grow there, but also plants such as giant horsetail and wild garlic. Further on you pass through the protected villagescape of Elsloo. You will see some beautiful old buildings here. The eye-catcher of this area is of course Elsloo Castle. Around this castle you walk through a nineteenth-century landscape park with some rare trees. In the more southerly Bunderbos you walk over the Slingerberg, a hill that has been included several times in the Amstel Gold Race.
