Tour of Elsloo, Valkenburg and Meerssen

Geulle aan de Maas is an ideal starting point for a day of cycling in the Limburg hills. In the old village center you can see, among other things, the Sint-Martinuskerk. You drive along the Juliana Canal to picturesque Elsloo. There are so many old buildings in the Dorpsstraat that time seems to have stood still here. The route then takes you east through the hills. Occasionally you have to climb, but the views make the effort more than worth it. Just past Schin op Geul you drive through the Geuldal. Here you pass Kasteel Schaloen and Kasteel Oost, after which you cycle through Valkenburg. Via Meerssen you descend again towards the Maas. At the end of your tour you will enjoy a nice meal at Preuverie Auwt Gäöl.
