Walking through nature near Zeist

Just outside Zeist you can take a beautiful walk through the varied nature. First you walk over the Karpervijver, a road along which several beautiful nineteenth-century monumental buildings are located. From junction 65 you walk over an unpaved path along the Blikkenburgervaart. Then you make a loop that takes you from junction 21 over Landgoed De Breul. Here you walk through a park laid out in the English landscape style. The current appearance of the country house dates from 1929. Between junctions 67 and 54 you walk over a car-free road along two adjacent estates: Rijnwijck and Wulperhorst. Further on you pass Slot Zeist. This seventeenth-century pleasure garden was built by order of Willem Adriaan van Nassau, a grandson of Maurits van Oranje. The route ends with a dinner in the restaurant of Hotel FiGi.
