Walking through nature near Zeist

Just outside Zeist you can take a beautiful walk through varied nature. First you walk across the Karpervijver, a road along which there are several beautiful nineteenth-century monumental buildings. From junction 65 you walk along an unpaved path along the Blikkenburgervaart. You then make a loop that takes you from junction 21 over De Breul Estate. Here you walk through a park landscaped in English landscape style. The current appearance of the country house dates from 1929. Between junctions 67 and 54 you walk along a car-free road past two adjacent estates: Rijnwijck and Wulperhorst. Further on you will pass Slot Zeist. This seventeenth-century pleasure resort was built on behalf of Willem Adriaan van Nassau, a grandson of Maurice of Orange. The route ends with a dinner in the restaurant of Hotel FiGi.
