Description
A beautiful varied route from Zwartsluis to Sint Jansklooster (known from the Eleven Cities Tour winner Evert van Benthem) and the Weerribben Wieden natural monuments information point. On to the Jonen bicycle ferry. Check the sailing times. Between junctions 52 and 53 the fantastic hamlet of Kruisgracht. Do not follow the junction route here, but take the very narrow cycle path over small bridges between the houses and the water. We got off and did it on foot. Beautiful as Giethoorn but less touristy.
Many restaurants closed on Mondays. Less busy. I wouldn't drive this route on the weekend.
