Tour of Kampen and Roggebotzand

This route takes you through the region between the IJssel and the Drontermeer. First you drive to Kampen. In this picturesque Hanseatic town you will see many monumental buildings, such as on the Burgwal and the Oudestraat. You cross the IJssel via the city bridge. The first bridge was laid here in 1448, it was made of wood. Look back for a moment, you then have a beautiful view of the Bovenkerk in Kampen. You then cycle along the floodplains of the IJssel to's-Heerenbroek, where you cross the river with a ferry. In the wide polder it is quiet cycling on car-free paths. You cross the Drontermeer, after which you make a tour through the woods of the Roggebotzand. The route ends with a restaurant at EuroParcs De IJssel Islands.
