Tour of Kampen and Roggebotzand

This route takes you through the region between the IJssel and the Drontermeer. First you drive to Kampen. In this picturesque Hanseatic town you will see many monumental buildings, such as on Burgwal and Oudestraat. You cross the IJssel via the city bridge. The first bridge was built here in 1448, it was made of wood. Take a look back and you will have a beautiful view of the Bovenkerk in Kampen. Then you cycle along the floodplains of the IJssel to 's-Heerenbroek, where you cross the river on a ferry. In the vast polder it is quiet cycling on car-free paths. You cross the Drontermeer, after which you take a tour through the forests of the Roggebotzand. The route ends with a restaurant at EuroParcs De IJssel Eilanden.
