Description

It is beautiful to cycle through nature around Etten-Leur. First you drive past the Liesbos, a summer oak forest whose history dates back to the Middle Ages. This forest has been used as a veranda for centuries by the Counts of Nassau. You then drive a few kilometers through a series of agricultural lands, hay fields and alder forests. You cross the Mark, further on you drive through the village of Hoeven. Cycling through the old Market in Etten you will see many monumental buildings. Here you will pass, among other things, the Sint Paulushofje from 1681 and the town hall from 1776. You will also pass the Catharinakerk, a medieval hall church with a tower from 1771. Further on is the Bisschopsmolen, a corn mill from 1744. After disembarking you can relax at Camping Liesbos. eat something in the Strix restaurant.
