Ammerzoden over the Maas

At the start of this cycle route you pass through the village of Ammerzoden. Pay close attention when you cycle near Ammerzoden and you may see a strawberry farm. A little further on you cross the Maas at Hedel. You then cycle via Bokhoven and Heesbeen to the next bridge over the Maas. You cross the bridge again and then cycle back in the direction of Amerzoden. The start and end point of this route is at Boerderij de Spijken - B&B - Mini Camping - Candle Factory. In and around this farm you can spend the night in a pleasantly quiet environment between the meadows. Just behind De Spijken Farm is Ammersoyen Castle, one of the best preserved authentic medieval castles in the Netherlands. With its striking corner towers and wide moat, it is truly a sight to see.
