Description
From Natuurpoort, discover BOS & CO Dorst forestry. This mainly consists of Scots pine forest that was planted on heathland in the early 19th century. This area was known as Seterse Heide. Striking are the many large sand drifts, which are conquered with planted pine trees. There are also beautiful fens with grazing Galloway cows. There are also several clay pits, created by the activities of the former brick factory"De Vijf Eiken\\\" from Rijen. Around the loam pits you will find special vegetation such as yellow-green sedge, lying milkweed and ground star. More information: www.staatsbosbeheer.nl
