Description

Delft is known for its pottery, but the historic town where Delft Blue originated has grown into a lively student city. The old streets and canals in the city center are a feast for the eyes with their many monumental buildings. The Oostpoort, for example, is the only remaining Delft city gate from around 1400. The fourteenth-century Nieuwe Kerk with the mausoleum of William of Orange is of course a well-known attraction. With this route you can also enjoy the greenery in the Delftse Hout. With 400 hectares of greenery, Delftse Hout is a beautiful recreational and nature reserve. Delftse Hout includes an old city park (Hertenkamp) with old trees.
